The client is seeking a dynamic Director of Advancement to lead fundraising and strengthen the culture of philanthropy. Reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Advancement will oversee advancement strategy and execution, with a focus on alumnae and parent engagement programs. The role will help shape the strategic direction of the advancement office and position the school for its next phase of growth by building and stewarding meaningful, enduring relationships across the school community.
The Director of Advancement will serve as the strategic and tactical leader for philanthropy and donor relations activities. The role will partner closely with the Head of School, act as staff liaison to the advancement committee and related board subcommittees, and collaborate with parent and alumni volunteers. Within the advancement function, the Director will work alongside existing team members and will have the opportunity to hire additional staff as needed to support advancement priorities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to empowering young women and a successful, leadership-level track record in front-line fundraising. They will understand the importance of staying connected to the daily life of the school and be able to translate student and community stories into meaningful engagement. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree, with a master’s degree preferred, and demonstrate experience developing and leading teams, along with confidence and enthusiasm for ambitious campaign planning and execution.
