The South Australian Department for Child Protection (DCP) is looking for a Director for its Learning, Excellence and Innovation Academy (LEIA) to lead the workforce through significant legislative reforms, including strengthened Aboriginal child placement principles. The Director will be responsible for equipping the workforce with the necessary skills, confidence, and cultural capability to ensure the safety of children and keep families together whenever possible. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director will guide the Academy through its next phase of growth and impact, fostering partnerships with Aboriginal communities, practitioners, universities, and centers of excellence to improve outcomes across the system.The ideal candidate will be a credible and collaborative leader, serving as a thought leader in the field and attracting partnerships with others. They will build on the Academy's current success and aim for a significant improvement in practice, working towards uplifting outcomes for children and families. The Director will champion partnerships with various stakeholders to drive positive change and ensure the workforce is well-equipped to meet the challenges of child protection in South Australia.
