the client’s mission is to make mental wellbeing, including recovery from substance use challenges, a reality for everyone. the client advocates for equitable access to high-quality mental health and substance use services, builds organizational capacity, and promotes broader understanding of mental wellbeing as part of comprehensive health and health care. through its programs, including mental health first aid training, the client supports widespread learning and response to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges.
as the director, learning delivery systems, you will serve as a primary solutions architect and technology leader for the learning platforms that support the client’s programs. you will own the technical strategy and multi-year roadmap for systems used to deliver, administer, and evaluate learning experiences, ensuring they are scalable, secure, accessible, and user-friendly. you will lead the build and implementation of a new target-state learning ecosystem to support not only the client’s mental health first aid program but the wider portfolio of training programs, and you will also manage a transition away from a legacy platform while maintaining continuity of service during migration.
the role requires strong technical fluency and meaningful experience leading or working with software development, application delivery, cloud-based platforms, and systems integration. you will guide technical architecture, evaluate application designs, understand APIs and data flows, assess technical tradeoffs, and make informed platform decisions, supported by extensive knowledge of e-learning technologies, standards, and workflows across multiple learning management system environments. you will deliver complex, cross-functional platform solutions and provide leadership through ambiguity and competing priorities, partnering with program leaders, internal technology teams, and third-party vendors to achieve reliable, measurable technology outcomes; the role manages a team of three and reports to the vice president, enterprise technology.
