The client is seeking a Director of International Tax to join its global tax leadership team and partner with finance, legal, and operational stakeholders in a complex multinational environment. This high-impact leadership role will report to senior tax leadership and oversee international tax accounting, compliance, planning, transfer pricing, and transaction-related tax matters, with exposure to global operations, M&A activity, and strategic tax initiatives.
The role will lead international tax accounting and reporting, including coordinating the international components of the quarterly and annual global tax provision process, supporting tax calculations and financial statement reporting, and providing technical guidance on the accounting implications of international tax positions. It will also direct U.S. international tax compliance activities such as information reporting and international tax calculations, oversee earnings and profits and foreign tax credit computations, manage global disclosure and compliance obligations under evolving regulations, and coordinate with external tax advisors to meet compliance requirements. In addition, the Director will support global tax planning by modeling and analyzing the tax impacts of business operations, supply chain changes, entity structures, and financing arrangements, and by advising on opportunities to optimize the global tax position while maintaining compliance.
The Director will oversee global transfer pricing compliance and documentation requirements, manage transfer pricing policies and processes across international operations, and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to maintain defensible and consistent documentation globally. Responsibilities will also include supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and restructuring initiatives through tax due diligence, identification of transaction-related tax risks and opportunities, post-acquisition integration and tax planning, and development of tax-efficient structures for new investments and business initiatives. The role will provide technical tax research and audit-ready documentation, support tax authority inquiries and global audits and controversy matters, and offer guidance to tax, finance, and business stakeholders while partnering with local teams and external advisors on audit defense strategies.
