The client is seeking a Director-level credit professional to lead and develop a team of Infrastructure & Project Finance credit specialists. In this senior role, you will provide technical leadership for credit assessment, decision-making, and portfolio oversight, with delegated lending discretion and broad visibility with senior management, origination and product partners, and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include leading and mentoring the team, shaping and influencing structured credit proposals in collaboration with asset managers, relationship teams, and deal originators, and overseeing independent credit assessments for new transactions, refinancings, restructurings, and annual reviews. You will monitor portfolio exposures, identify changes to the risk profile and escalate where appropriate, ensure transactions comply with internal credit policy and relevant regulatory frameworks, and strengthen credit decisions by guiding sector research and applying scenario and sensitivity analysis.
To be successful, you will bring significant credit risk and sanctioning experience in infrastructure and project finance, including renewables, along with strong understanding of structured finance modelling and due diligence processes and sector-specific considerations across relevant UK and US markets. You should demonstrate clear, confident decision-making and communication skills, the ability to challenge effectively, manage competing priorities under time pressure, and maintain a collaborative, continuous-improvement mindset aligned with supporting the energy transition and infrastructure investment.
