The Director, Human Resources, Employee and Labour Relations reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, labour relations, occupational health and safety, and volunteer services. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Director plays a crucial role in advancing the organization's strategic priorities by developing and implementing human resources strategies, policies, and programs to support a high-performing and engaged workforce. This includes leading initiatives in talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational development while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.The Director is also responsible for guiding labour and employee relations, including collective bargaining, grievance management, arbitration processes, and collaboration with union partners. Additionally, the role oversees employee relations, health and safety, WSIB management, wellness programs, disability management, and the administration of employee benefits. Furthermore, the Director provides leadership for the Volunteer Services Program, supporting the engagement and effective management of approximately 400 volunteers who contribute to the life and vibrancy of the organization.
