the client is seeking a senior executive to design and implement expansion strategy across Mexico and the region, with a focus on concessions, EPC projects, and O&M contracts. The role will identify, assess, and develop new business opportunities across B2B and B2G channels, lead public bidding and the structuring of water infrastructure projects, and drive strategic partnerships, including public-private partnerships and investor relationships.
The role will direct end-to-end operations of water treatment plants, ensuring operational efficiency, achievement of operational KPIs, and quality of service. It will also oversee EPC project execution, including evaluation of outsourcing models, and lead operational optimization, transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement to strengthen performance across the portfolio.
The successful applicant will manage institutional and regulatory relationships, ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, environmental, and sanitary frameworks in Mexico, and represent the organization legally with public and private entities. Responsibilities include reporting financial, operational, and strategic results to the board of directors, participating in audit and governance committees, managing critical risks with proposed corrective actions, and safeguarding business financial sustainability through budgeting, investment oversight, and value creation. The position will require advanced academic training in engineering, administration, or related fields, a master’s degree in a relevant area, extensive senior leadership experience (typically 15+ years in director-level or high management roles), demonstrated leadership in water infrastructure operations and concessioned or PPP models, and experience with business development and regional expansion, along with a track record of stakeholder management with external audit functions.
