The client, an international sports organization with legal autonomy, is seeking a Finance Director to oversee investment projects, infrastructure, and CAPEX initiatives such as stadiums, academies, and business/entertainment centers. The Finance Director will represent the client in financial matters with external stakeholders such as banks, developers, and investors. They will also lead internal and external fundraising projects to finance long-term infrastructure initiatives, as well as manage all financial reporting obligations including internal management reports, financial statements, regulatory compliance, and statutory requirements. Additionally, the Finance Director will be responsible for timely and accurate production of monthly management reports, treasury management, cash flow planning and reporting, and long-term planning to support business growth needs.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience as a CFO in organizations of similar size and complexity, with previous experience in the sports sector being a plus but not mandatory. They should have a strong interest in sports and the business models of the industry, as well as fluency in English. The Finance Director will be responsible for leading, supervising, and improving all transactional areas of the finance department, including purchasing, accounting, accounts receivable, payroll, and football transactions.
