The Director of Finance and Operations at Greenpeace Canada is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure the organization's financial health and organizational infrastructure align with its mission, values, and commitments to equity, diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director leads the Finance, Information Technology, and Office Administration functions, setting priorities, strengthening team performance, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and internal standards. This role oversees budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow, procurement, audits, and risk management, providing financial insight to senior leadership, the Board, and Greenpeace International.In addition to financial oversight, the Director also manages technology services, facilities, leases, insurance, and office operations, collaborating with People and Culture on workforce planning, compensation, benefits, and resource allocation. The Director contributes to strategic planning, financial recovery, governance, and international initiatives, supporting informed decision-making, operational excellence, fiscal accountability, and long-term sustainability for Greenpeace Canada. Through transparent and values-aligned leadership, the Director plays a crucial role in ensuring the responsible stewardship of donor funds and the overall success of the organization.
