The Director, External Affairs at our client reports to the Vice President, External Affairs and is responsible for providing strategic leadership to enhance the organization's influence, relationships, and impact within the mental health landscape. Leading a small team of external affairs professionals, the Director develops and implements outreach and engagement strategies with various levels of government and key stakeholders to promote our client's priorities, programs, and national initiatives. This role requires strong political acuity, relationship-building skills, and the ability to monitor and analyze emerging trends and policy developments to inform engagement strategies.The Director plays a key role in championing our client's policy solutions and leading practices to decision makers and interest holders, contributing to broader strategic planning, governance discussions, and cross-functional collaboration within the organization. With a focus on building productive relationships with senior government officials and community partners, the Director works to advance our client's organizational priorities and ensure alignment and impact across various complex and evolving issues.
