Description

The Director of Communications will report to the Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs and will be responsible for developing and implementing an integrated communications and awareness strategy for our client. This includes overseeing media and public relations, social media, crisis communications, internal communications, event management, and translation with a team of seven. The Director will focus on creating a strategy that elevates the client's brand and targets diverse stakeholder groups, with a particular emphasis on demonstrating impact to government partners and driving awareness with industry partners, post-secondary institutions, and the academic community.In addition to leading a team of communicators, the Director will collaborate closely with the VP Communications and Public Affairs, Strategic Brand and Content Lead, and Marketing leadership to implement an agile project management culture. The goal is to foster collaborative partnerships across the organization and ensure that the communications strategy aligns with the overall strategic objectives of our client. The Director will play a key role in enhancing the organization's reputation and increasing awareness of its programs and initiatives among key stakeholders.
