The Director, Civic Facilities will report to the General Manager, Corporate Services and will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, operations, and long-term development of our client's civic facilities portfolio. This includes ensuring that all City-owned and City-supported facilities are safe, accessible, well-maintained, and aligned with civic priorities. The Director will lead initiatives such as capital renewal and modernization programs, energy efficiency, and emergency readiness, as well as integrating facility operations with asset management systems. They will also provide expert guidance to City leadership and Council, oversee emergency preparedness for facilities, lead sustainability and energy initiatives, ensure compliance with regulatory and occupational health and safety standards, and foster a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.The ideal candidate for this role will have senior-level leadership experience in facility management, asset management, and strategic planning. They will have a strong focus on service excellence, sustainability, and operational resilience, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-departmental teams and provide expert guidance to City leadership and Council.
