The Director City Liveability position at our client is a key leadership role responsible for shaping a thriving, inclusive, and future-focused community. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director provides strategic advice and stewardship to deliver community-aligned planning and critical services. This role involves working closely with Councillors, government, and key stakeholders to influence outcomes and position Knox to respond to current and emerging challenges. The Director oversees four portfolio areas with 128 full-time employees, including City Futures, City Planning and Building, City Projects, and City Safety and Health.The successful candidate for this role will be an accountable and performance-driven leader with an enterprise-wide mindset. They will work with the Executive Leadership Team to build an organizational culture that supports Council's vision, mission, values, and strategic ambition. The Director City Liveability will play a crucial role in long-term strategic planning and everyday community outcomes, ensuring that our client continues to thrive and meet the needs of its residents for generations to come.
