The client is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as Director of a major pharmaceutical sciences research institute focused on drug discovery and translational science. This senior role is intended to accelerate the institute’s global research impact with the support of significant institutional ambition, investment, and strategic planning, and it may also involve contributing to additional strategic research and leadership appointments that strengthen institute-wide capability.
The institute brings together a large, multidisciplinary team of staff and PhD students and is recognized for translating world-class science into real-world health and medical outcomes. The Director will lead a collaborative research model that supports a growing pipeline of discoveries, partnerships, and commercial ventures, and will help guide expansion activities associated with a purpose-built translational drug discovery facility scheduled to open in 2027.
