the client is seeking a Director / Sr. Director of Amazon & Marketplace Growth to own marketplace strategy, P&L, and team leadership. This role focuses on evolving beyond SKU-volume growth toward hero product development, category leadership, and more profitable marketplace execution across Amazon and other major online marketplaces, as well as related owned/digital channels. You will lead a high-performing Amazon team, create scalable operating systems, and partner closely with Product, Finance, Brand, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive sustainable, profitable growth.
Must-have qualifications include 8+ years of e-commerce, Amazon marketplace, or digital commerce experience for consumer products, with 3+ years in a senior leadership and people management role. You should have 5+ years of hands-on Amazon marketplace experience with strong knowledge of Seller Central and/or Vendor Central, Amazon Ads, listing optimization, and marketplace operations. The ideal candidate has a proven record of owning or significantly driving marketplace GMV growth and profitability, with strong understanding of Amazon growth levers such as advertising, keyword and organic ranking, conversion, content, pricing, promotions, reviews, inventory, and SKU portfolio management. You must also demonstrate strong business and financial acumen, including managing to key marketplace performance metrics, and be able to translate analytics into actionable insights and executive-level reporting.
Preferred qualifications include experience in health & wellness, supplements, nutrition, beauty, personal care, or related consumer packaged goods categories. Additional preferences include leading or significantly contributing to an Amazon/e-commerce business at scale, demonstrated success improving ASIN performance and organic ranking, and experience with hero SKU strategies, product lifecycle and SKU rationalization, bundling/multipacks, Subscribe & Save, and promotional planning. You may also be expected to have familiarity with retail media and advanced attribution/incrementality testing, experience building or restructuring marketplace organizations and workflows, and the ability to work effectively with global or cross-regional teams.
