Canadian Blood Services (CBS) is looking for an experienced leader to fill the role of Director, Testing Operations. This individual will work closely with subject matter experts in Medical Affairs to oversee testing services for both internal and external customers. The Director will be responsible for managing various testing services, including Donor Testing, Patient Testing Services, Product Quality Control Laboratories, Reference Laboratories, and HLA Laboratories. They will also be in charge of overseeing the use of molecular technologies at CBS and developing new genomics technology projects to enhance donor and patient testing operations. Additionally, the Director will lead industry scanning efforts to identify emerging trends in testing and maintain key relationships with industry partners, ministries of health, and other public sector agencies.The Director will be instrumental in developing a testing strategy roadmap that aligns with emerging trends, corporate strategy, and medical affairs expertise. This roadmap will prioritize initiatives that meet evolving customer needs and position testing services for future success. Leading a large and nationally distributed team, the Director will foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. They will also ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, laboratory standards, and accreditation requirements to uphold the integrity of CBS testing operations.
