Winpak is looking for a Director, Operations to lead their Winnipeg manufacturing facility. The role involves driving operational excellence, enhancing collaboration between divisions, and achieving performance improvements. The Director will oversee the Extrusion and Converting divisions, working to align the plant as a unified enterprise. Reporting to the General Manager, they will focus on departmental alignment, quality management, SOP enforcement, and fostering a culture of accountability. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and directing production, purchasing, and maintenance groups to maximize asset returns.In addition to managing day-to-day operations, the Director will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant. This includes promoting Lean principles, encouraging cross-functional problem-solving, and cultivating a culture of safety and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in operations management, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to drive positive change within a team environment.
