the client is seeking a lead to provide strategy and operations support for a global litigation department. This high-impact role will shape growth, profitability, and day-to-day operational performance by working closely with department and practice leaders to plan, monitor, and improve business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing business plans, monitoring financial performance, and analyzing risks and opportunities. The role will support pipeline demand and capacity planning, serve as the primary operational contact for leadership, and aggregate and analyze operational metrics such as hours, rates, revenue, headcount, and budgets to prepare data, analysis, and presentations for leadership and board use. It will also monitor KPIs including utilization, realization, and cash expenditure, organize partner meetings, and support long-term planning, growth strategy, and performance tracking.
The position will partner with marketing and business development to pursue growth opportunities, facilitate leadership succession planning, and draft internal communications and presentations. The successful candidate will mentor, supervise, and develop direct reports, oversee staffing coverage, timekeeping, and policy compliance, and participate in hiring, performance management, and employee lifecycle activities. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, finance, accounting, or a related field), 10+ years of relevant experience with 5+ years in management roles, experience in law firms or professional services environments, and a proven ability to support senior executives with strong strategic, analytical, and commercially minded judgment, along with discretion and excellent communication skills.
