The Director of Human Resources is a crucial position within our client, reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer. This role involves providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for all human resources functions, including labour relations, recruitment, training, benefits administration, and HR policy administration. The Director is responsible for developing and implementing strategies, programs, and policies that align with Council and organizational priorities, while also fostering a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Director works collaboratively with all departments to ensure consistency and compliance with legislative requirements, collective agreement obligations, and human-resource best practices. This role also involves overseeing disability management, succession management, compensation and job evaluation, and health and safety initiatives. The Director of Human Resources plays a critical role in supporting the overall success and effectiveness of the organization through effective HR management and leadership.
