The Director will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for developing and implementing a government relations and advocacy strategy to support our client's public policy priorities in angel investing, early-stage capital, entrepreneurship, and regional innovation. This includes leading government engagement efforts, translating research into policy recommendations, and developing advocacy strategies that resonate with key stakeholders. The Director will also build and maintain relationships with ministers, elected officials, and other policy stakeholders across Canada, providing strategic counsel to the CEO on government priorities and preparing senior leadership for high-profile meetings and engagements.Working closely with the CEO and other key stakeholders, the Director will play a central role in positioning our client as a credible partner in public policy development. This includes leading the preparation of policy briefs, consultation submissions, and advocacy initiatives, as well as fostering strategic partnerships with industry and economic development organizations. The Director will ensure that government relations, communications, and stakeholder engagement activities align with our client's long-term institutional objectives, while also staying informed on political developments and emerging opportunities to support the organization's advocacy efforts.
