The client is seeking a Director of Data Center Operations to lead multi-site operations across a growing hyperscale footprint. The role is responsible for driving uptime, operational excellence, and effective team leadership across critical data center environments, with a strong focus on service-level performance.
Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end operations across multiple data center campuses, ensuring extremely high uptime and adherence to SLAs, and building and leading high-performing teams that include managers and engineers. The director will oversee incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts, while also managing vendors and third-party service providers and partnering with cross-functional teams involved in engineering, construction, and capacity planning.
Required qualifications include extensive experience in data center or critical facilities operations, along with strong expertise in electrical and mechanical infrastructure such as UPS systems, generators, and cooling equipment. The role expects familiarity with Tier III/IV environments and proven leadership across multi-site operations, supported by deep knowledge of SLA management and reliability metrics.
