The client is seeking a Director of Data Center Operations to lead multi-site operations across a growing hyperscale footprint. This role will drive uptime, operational excellence, and team leadership for critical environments, with a focus on maintaining and improving service reliability across multiple data center campuses.
Responsibilities include leading end-to-end data center operations across multiple locations, ensuring service availability targets and adherence to SLAs, and building and leading high-performing teams of managers and engineers. The director will oversee incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts, while also managing vendors and third-party service providers. The role will partner with engineering, construction, and capacity planning teams to support operational readiness and long-term growth.
Required qualifications include 10+ years of experience in data center or critical facilities operations and strong expertise in electrical and mechanical infrastructure, such as UPS, generators, and chillers. Experience with Tier III/IV environments and proven leadership in multi-site operations are expected, along with deep knowledge of SLA management and reliability metrics. Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is required.
