The client is seeking a Director, Community Partnerships to lead a portfolio of community-based and out-of-school time initiatives aimed at advancing youth violence prevention and related mission priorities. Reporting to the Vice President of Innovation, Research, Evaluation and Quality Improvement (IREQI), the role will shape The client’s out-of-school time strategy and act as an internal subject matter expert for this audience and delivery environment. The Director will oversee pilot initiatives, strengthen and codify promising models, and guide their expansion toward broader national scale.
This position will support planning, execution, and ongoing management of out-of-school time programs and community partnerships, including advising organizational leaders on opportunities to engage young people beyond traditional school settings. The Director will oversee community partnerships and out-of-school time initiatives, guiding promising programs toward sustainable and scalable national models. Responsibilities also include managing contractors to ensure high-quality deliverables and alignment with strategic priorities, as well as leading, coaching, and developing managers across planning, execution, logistics, and follow-up activities to achieve partnership and program goals.
The Director will build and sustain relationships with out-of-school time providers, community organizations, national networks, funders, and other key partners, while maintaining clarity on expectations, standards, resources, and decision-making authority. The role will lead cross-functional initiatives by establishing clear ownership, roles, decision rights, timelines, and stakeholder engagement strategies to drive alignment and mitigate risks. Success will depend on the ability to influence across teams, build alignment, proactively address challenges, and drive progress across organizational boundaries.
