The Director, Communications role is a key position within our client, responsible for overseeing and enhancing the organization's communications function. This includes providing strategic counsel, managing issues, crafting executive messaging, positioning the organization in the media, and leading reputation management efforts. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Government and Public Affairs, the Director will collaborate closely with other key stakeholders such as the Director of Public Affairs & Corporate Social Responsibility and the Senior Manager of Government and Regulatory Affairs to align communications efforts with broader public affairs strategies.The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in communications, with experience in strategic planning, issues management, executive messaging, media relations, and reputation leadership. They will be a collaborative team player who can work effectively with senior leadership and other key stakeholders to drive the organization's communications goals forward. The Director, Communications will play a crucial role in shaping our client's public image and ensuring that its messaging is consistent, impactful, and aligned with its overall public affairs strategy.
