The client is seeking a Commercial Export Director to develop export sales from a strong existing base that still has significant growth potential, particularly across local markets as well as Travel Retail and Duty Free channels. This role focuses on business development and the creation of new distribution opportunities rather than managing a fully mature portfolio. The position is aimed at strengthening sales reach and expanding networks for beauty products such as fragrances, cosmetics, makeup, skincare, and related categories.
The ideal candidate has proven experience in business development and in opening export markets, with a profile closer to market development than portfolio maintenance. A background in a family business environment may be beneficial, and the role is suited to someone motivated by the challenge of stepping away from a more corporate setting to help build new markets and distribution relationships. Fluency in English is required, and the ability to communicate effectively and drive commercial growth is essential.
Qualifications include a business education and experience in international commerce for consumer goods and/or luxury exports, such as beauty products, wine and spirits, or related sectors. The role requires strong commercial instincts, a high level of market development drive, and good working command of Excel and PowerPoint. Prior titles such as Export Manager, Chef de Zone Export, Area Sales Manager, Commercial Director, Sales Director, or Regional Sales Manager may align well with the responsibilities.
