the client is seeking a senior regional Digital Engineering leader for a newly established position covering Iberia. The role will define and execute the regional Digital Engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with global objectives and governance, and will sponsor strategic investments while providing technical input to business decisions.
The leader will guide the transition to a unified regional engineering operating model, with responsibility for end-to-end capabilities across Development, QA, and DevOps. They will drive measurable improvements in productivity, quality, time-to-market, and cost efficiency using clear KPIs, service levels, and security-by-design principles, while managing financial discipline, shared capabilities, AI-enabled engineering practices, and engagement with strategic partners across the region.
The position includes organizational and workforce evolution, including team leadership, talent development, and upskill/reskill initiatives. The successful candidate will bring significant senior engineering or technology leadership experience in complex international environments and a track record of organizational transformation across large multi-team, multi-country engineering organizations. A background in managing end-to-end digital engineering functions with distributed teams and external partners is expected, along with a strategic mindset, strong people leadership, executive-level communication and influencing skills, adaptability in fast-changing environments, and fluent English (French and/or Portuguese may be valued).
