The Development Coordinator supports The client by assisting with day-to-day fundraising operations, event logistics, grant and prospect support, and related administrative functions. The role helps maintain accurate donor records, engage donors, and support events and campaigns that sustain The client’s programs and services. Responsibilities include producing reports and data to support donor cultivation and stewardship efforts.
Key responsibilities include managing and updating The client’s donor database and fundraising systems to ensure accurate constituent information and tracking across donor and campaign workflows. The coordinator will support fundraising campaigns and appeals, coordinate fundraising events (including registration, logistics, sponsorship tracking, volunteer coordination, and contributions tracking), and assist with a fundraising collaboration involving planning with designated liaisons, prize procurement, participant communications, shipping/fulfillment coordination, and peer-to-peer record-keeping. The role also serves as a liaison to external fundraisers, drafts corporate partnership proposals and donor stewardship materials, and supports grant proposal and funder research, communications, and reporting.
The coordinator will also provide administrative support for donor inquiries and funder meetings, prepare metrics and reports for leadership, and support donor development, stewardship, and retention through preliminary prospect research on local businesses and potential donors and sponsors. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, at least two years of directly related development or fundraising experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and accurate data entry. The role is expected to include occasional off-site events, frequent interaction with donors and community partners, local travel, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail. A valid driver’s license is required, and background and child safety clearances and mandatory reporter training are expected.
