The Deputy Director, Recreation Services + Facilities will report to the Director, Parks + Recreation and will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for our client's Recreation Services and Facilities division. This role involves ensuring departmental and divisional outcomes are achieved in alignment with our client's objectives, policies, and regulatory requirements. The Deputy Director will work closely with the Director and Deputy Director of Parks, Policy and Planning to provide a unified vision and support for the department, including the implementation of the 10-Year People, Parks and Play Plan. Additionally, the Deputy Director will contribute to corporate-wide decision-making and policy development, while fostering a culture of community belonging centered on diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.The ideal candidate for this position will be a proactive leader who can guide a team in meeting the needs of a rapidly growing community.
