The client is seeking a Deputy Director for Assessment Services to provide senior leadership over a portfolio of assessment services. The role will support the development and delivery of large-scale assessments and related services within a highly specialist environment, helping to connect evidence, policy, and practice to improve education outcomes.
Reporting and working with a multidisciplinary team, the Deputy Director will establish clear, forward-looking direction while leading internal teams through recent change. A key focus will be driving sustainable income growth by identifying new market opportunities, strengthening the client’s position in the UK and internationally, and aligning service strategy with the organization’s mission.
Candidates will bring experience leading complex services or programmes and demonstrating capability in business development and client engagement. While deep assessment expertise may not be essential, the role requires the ability to engage confidently with technical specialists, translate insights into commercial opportunity, and balance impact with financial sustainability.
