The Deputy Director General, Public and Aboriginal Health Division | Chief Health Officer role is a strategic leadership position that requires a committed and experienced executive leader to shape the delivery of public and Aboriginal health in Western Australia. This individual will also serve as the Chief Health Officer for the community, providing high-level leadership and vision for public health programs at the State or National Level. The successful candidate must have strong capabilities in engaging with technical experts and leaders across government and the broader health sector, as well as the ability to proactively and systematically address complex problems within a government environment.As the government's spokesperson on public health matters, the Deputy Director General, Public and Aboriginal Health Division | Chief Health Officer must possess a confident public persona, excellent judgement, communication skills, and the ability to build trust with stakeholders. This role requires a progressive leader who can effectively navigate the complexities of the health sector and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders to drive positive outcomes for the Western Australian community. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strategic leadership and a deep understanding of public health issues, as well as the ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
