The DCE Regulatory Enablement & Response will oversee the Enablement & Incident Response function within the Civil Aviation Authority, ensuring that frontline regulatory and operational delivery is effective in protecting New Zealanders and maintaining safety across the aviation system. This role involves promoting and enabling strong safety and security outcomes through providing advice, insights, education, and engagement with industry stakeholders. Additionally, the DCE will lead the organization's response to serious aviation incidents, ensuring a coordinated and effective approach to managing and mitigating risks.Reporting directly to the Director of Civil Aviation, the DCE will play a critical role in shaping and implementing strategies to enhance regulatory enablement and incident response capabilities within the CAA. This position requires a strong leader who can effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in safety and security outcomes. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of aviation regulations and industry best practices, as well as the ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
