The client is seeking a Deputy Chair or Non-Executive Member to join its Board during a period of health and care system reform. The client commissions health and care services for a large and diverse population and is focused on delivering a high-quality, community-centred health and care system through a long-term vision. As national expectations evolve to reduce running and programme costs, the Board role will support strategic commissioning, strengthening population health approaches, and streamlining how the organisation operates.
As Deputy Chair, you will bring significant NHS experience gained through either non-executive or executive roles and demonstrate the ability to chair committees effectively. You will be confident operating at a system level, shaping strategic direction, and supporting delivery across complex partnerships. As a Non-Executive Member, you will bring a background demonstrating strong connections to the communities served, supported through professional or lived experience, enabling you to add value to Board discussions and support delivery of the Board’s objectives.
