Description

the client is seeking a Deputy CEO to lead and manage fundraising activities within a boutique private equity context. The role will oversee the preparation and presentation of pitch materials, investor communications, and the negotiation of terms with limited partners (LPs). Responsibilities include developing compelling fund narratives, preparing offering documents, coordinating legal closing activities, and supporting capital call processes.

Key responsibilities also include building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective LPs, such as institutional investors and family offices, and engaging directly to secure major fundraising commitments. The deputy CEO is expected to provide ongoing transparency and reporting to reinforce investor confidence and support future fundraising cycles. The role will further contribute to originating transactions by sourcing new opportunities, networking within target industries, and leveraging a strong deal pipeline, while leading initial due diligence and deal evaluation to align investment terms with the firm’s strategy and return objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful fundraising rounds in private equity or alternative investment contexts, along with experience originating and closing deals that demonstrate measurable value creation. Strong negotiation and deal structuring skills are required, including the ability to lead discussions on fund governance, liquidity provisions, and exit strategies, and to navigate legal and compliance considerations related to fund formation. The position also calls for credible representation of the firm to investors and potential portfolio companies, advanced communication and storytelling skills for high-level investor meetings and roadshows, and the ability to adapt fundraising strategies to evolving market conditions through a deep understanding of private equity markets and trends.
