The client is seeking a visionary scholar and administrative leader to serve as the Department Chair for Economics. The Chair will prioritize academic excellence and provide leadership to advance discovery, teaching, and impact across the department, college, and university levels.
Working within the College-level academic environment, the Department Chair will lead and support the department’s research mission, foster growth and development for both faculty and students, and facilitate strategic, cross-campus collaborations. In partnership with faculty colleagues, the Chair will lead a visioning process and play a key role in defining and advancing the department’s priorities and work.
The successful candidate will be an economist with a distinguished research record, strong collaboration and communication skills, and demonstrated experience in administrative leadership. They should be committed to mentoring and intellectual leadership and have a passion for elevating individuals, teams, and units, while creating a professional, inclusive environment aligned with equal-opportunity principles.
