The client invites applications for the position of Department Chair for a Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The chair will provide strategic and academic leadership for a growing department experiencing significant momentum in scholarship, research productivity, enrollment, and faculty growth. The role will help build on existing initiatives, including an Applied AI Institute and emerging collaborations related to biomedical engineering and AI, and will support ongoing efforts to strengthen research impact and timely academic programs.
The chair will oversee the department’s research and academic enterprise, leveraging access to high-performance computing resources managed by the client, including a general-purpose cluster and a dedicated AI cluster. This position is expected to coordinate leadership priorities within a broader institutional plan that includes multiple future faculty hires across tenured full or associate professors in computer science and engineering.
