The dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer for the school of law, providing visionary, strategic, and collaborative leadership to support excellence in legal education, scholarship, and service. The dean is expected to advance a dynamic, mission-driven academic community aligned with the client’s core values while positioning the school as a leader in addressing contemporary challenges facing the legal profession. In addition to holding a faculty appointment as Professor of Law, the dean will serve as a highly visible representative of the school by engaging with the judiciary, the legal profession, and the broader public to amplify contributions to justice, equity, and the common good.
Minimum qualifications include a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and eligibility for appointment as a full professor with tenure, or truly exemplary accomplishments in the legal field commensurate with the dean role.
