Description

the client invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the School of Public Health & Information Sciences. This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished, mission-driven academic leader to help shape the future of public health education, research, and practice during a period of institutional momentum.

the client’s School serves as a key driver for improving health outcomes across the community and wider region, with a growing portfolio of research, innovative academic programs, and strong community partnerships. Reporting to the Executive Vice President and University Provost, the Dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer, providing strategic leadership for nearly 600 students, 38 faculty, 24 staff members, and 26 graduate assistants. Key responsibilities include advancing educational excellence, strengthening the research enterprise, ensuring financial sustainability, and cultivating partnerships that extend the School’s influence locally and nationally.

Founded in 2002, the School is metropolitan and emphasizes interdisciplinary, data-driven approaches that are deeply connected to communities. It offers accredited bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs, including fully online degrees and certificates, preparing graduates for leadership across areas such as biostatistics, bioinformatics, epidemiology, global health, data analytics, health equity, health management, health policy, and health promotion. the client will support the incoming Dean in leading the School at a transformative time, including a planned move into a new, state-of-the-art Health Sciences Center building, and in articulating a bold vision, attracting and supporting outstanding faculty and students, expanding research and philanthropic support, and positioning the School as a model for public health education and impact.
