The client seeks to appoint a Dean of the School of Built Environment, Engineering and Computing (BEEC), a large and distinctive academic school within a modern professional university with a civic mission. The school includes computing, engineering, surveying, construction, planning, housing, and geography, supporting collaboration across a diverse academic portfolio.
Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, the Dean will deliver strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of the school’s activity. As a member of the university’s leadership and senior management groups, the role supports the wider strategic direction of the client while ensuring the continued success and development of BEEC. The Dean will be expected to lead a substantial academic community and maintain a strong reputation for professionally relevant education, research, knowledge exchange, and industry engagement, with an approach that is collaborative, visible, and inclusive.
