The school includes computing, engineering, surveying, construction, planning, housing, and geography, supporting collaboration across a diverse academic portfolio.

Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, the Dean will deliver strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of the school’s activity. As a member of the university’s leadership and senior management groups, the role supports the wider strategic direction of the client while ensuring the continued success and development of BEEC. The Dean will be expected to lead a substantial academic community and maintain a strong reputation for professionally relevant education, research, knowledge exchange, and industry engagement, with an approach that is collaborative, visible, and inclusive.

The successful candidate will be able to build confidence across the academic community, work effectively across institutional boundaries, and engage positively with industry, professional, and civic partners; applications are invited with a full CV and a letter of application addressing motivation and how the candidate meets the role specification, including details of three referees with prior consent.
