The client seeks a Dean of the Medical School and Executive Vice President for Health Affairs to provide strategic and operational leadership across a multi-campus medical education enterprise. The role is designed to guide the school’s mission across education, research, and patient care, supporting academic excellence and community engagement in a dynamic environment. The Dean & EVP will be a visible, collaborative systems thinker with a growth mindset, able to navigate complexity, foster alignment, and inspire a community of physicians, researchers, staff, and students.
Reporting to the President and CEO and working collaboratively with the Provost, the Dean & EVP is expected to lead clinical growth strategy and define stronger alignment with hospital partners. This includes serving as an advocate for the criticality of the organization’s missions, strengthening partnerships, and elevating the School’s profile nationally. The leader will also champion academic, clinical, and scientific excellence while building and sustaining an inclusive culture.
While working within an integrated academic health ecosystem, the Dean & EVP will help sustain and advance programs that support medical training across multiple campuses, residency and fellowship education, and research activity. The position will require partnership-focused leadership to translate innovation into patient impact and to promote community-engaged approaches that address health disparities. The role will support ongoing efforts that involve clinical education, research and training, and community collaboration to strengthen the organization’s impact.
