The Academic Dean will work closely with the Chief Academic Officer and peers to achieve institutional initiatives, providing leadership and oversight for all programs within the Division. They will develop and implement strategic plans to enhance access and quality of academic offerings, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. The Academic Dean will collaborate with department heads, program directors, and faculty to develop and review curricula and programs, managing the academic budget and allocating resources effectively. They will also identify emerging trends and community needs to create relevant courses and programs, overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of health education programs.Additionally, the Academic Dean will focus on student success and support, developing a learning-centered environment that promotes academic achievement, confidence, and personal growth. They will collaborate with student affairs to ensure comprehensive student support, including development, library, advising, tutoring, and career services, implementing initiatives to improve student persistence, retention, graduation rates, transfer, and job placement. The Academic Dean will also be responsible for faculty and staff development, recruiting, hiring, and retaining qualified faculty and staff, providing growth, mentorship, and professional development opportunities, and promoting a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and excellence. Lastly, they will engage with the community, representing the college and building strong relationships with external stakeholders, participating in community events, serving on relevant boards and committees, and advocating for the college and its programs to enhance visibility and support.
