The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree and a record of scholarly achievement that qualifies them for a tenured faculty appointment at the rank of full professor within one of the university's academic departments. They will have a proven track record of successful leadership in graduate education, including experience with program development, assessment, and accreditation. The Dean will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic plan for the Graduate School, including establishing policies and procedures, managing resources, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.Additionally, the Dean will collaborate with academic departments and other university units to promote interdisciplinary programs, research initiatives, and partnerships with external organizations. They will also be responsible for overseeing the recruitment and retention of graduate students, as well as providing support for their academic and professional development. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in graduate education.
