Responsibilities include setting and executing a forward-looking vision for nursing and higher education, championing new academic and program development, and advancing external partnerships that enhance clinical education and collaboration opportunities.
to fulfill accreditation requirements, the dean must be a registered nurse with graduate-level education in nursing and an earned doctorate, with current or eligible RN licensure in south carolina. the role is expected to be held by an individual with scholarly distinction consistent with full professor expectations and significant experience across nursing leadership, education, practice, and research, along with exceptional communication and organizational ability to advance academic-practice and research collaborations.
