Northern Arizona University (NAU) is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as the next Dean of the College of Education (COE). Reporting to the Executive Vice President & Provost, the Dean will be responsible for developing strong relationships with various stakeholders, including faculty, students, industry partners, and the community. Key priorities for the Dean include promoting exceptional outcomes for students, broadening educational access, recruiting and retaining talented faculty and staff, and managing the College's resources effectively. The Dean will also be expected to collaborate with university leadership, build relationships across the institution, and serve as a leading advocate and fundraiser for the College.The Dean will oversee a leadership team, academic department chairs, and college-wide staff, with the main administrative office located on the Flagstaff Mountain campus. With over 135 faculty and 70 staff members, the College of Education plays a crucial role in shaping the future of education in Arizona. Core responsibilities for the Dean include creating a vision and agenda for the College, leading communication efforts, and overseeing financial planning and strategy to ensure alignment with university priorities. The successful candidate will be based at the Flagstaff Campus, with occasional travel to other statewide locations.
