The Dean of Education will lead the Education Program by providing strategic and administrative leadership, representing the faculty and staff, and embodying the Catholic Intellectual Tradition. They will work with public and Catholic partners to align with the University's mission, vision, and strategic plan, developing and managing student-focused academic programs and resources. The Dean will implement educational planning and policies, manage faculty personnel, programs, and financial resources to maintain and enhance quality academic programs, and provide day-to-day academic and administrative leadership and support for faculty and staff. They will be responsive to the needs of faculty, staff, and students, upholding and modeling the values of St. Mary's and the Professional Standards of Alberta Education.The Dean of Education will foster a positive learning and working culture within the Education department, ensuring a supportive environment for faculty, staff, and students. They will work collaboratively with both public and Catholic partners and constituents, while effectively managing academic programs and resources to meet the needs of the University's community. The Dean will be responsible for managing faculty personnel, programs, and financial resources, implementing sound educational planning and policies to enhance the quality of academic programs. They will uphold and model the values of St. Mary's and the Professional Standards of Alberta Education, providing leadership, supervision, and support to faculty and staff to ensure the success of the Education Program.
