The position involves reporting to the Provost and overseeing the strategic direction, academic performance, financial sustainability, and personnel of the Faculty. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a Faculty strategy to enhance research, education, and stakeholder impact, as well as leading curriculum renewal and portfolio development to ensure academic offerings are relevant, industry-connected, and financially viable. The role also involves expanding research impact, increasing research income through various funding sources, and positioning the Faculty to lead collaborative research programs.Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for building partnerships with industry, government, community, iwi, and international collaborators, and serving as a visible ambassador for the Faculty and University. Strengthening research, education, and engagement partnerships with iwi and hapu to uphold the University's commitments under Te Tiriti o Waitangi is also a key aspect of the role. Overall, the position requires a strategic leader who can drive excellence in research, education, and stakeholder impact while fostering partnerships and ensuring the financial sustainability of the Faculty.
