The position reports to the Provost and is responsible for overseeing our client's strategy, academic performance, financial sustainability, and personnel. This includes setting and implementing a strategy that promotes excellence in teaching, research, and stakeholder impact, as well as ensuring the taught portfolio remains relevant, rigorous, industry-connected, and financially viable. The role also involves leading efforts to obtain and maintain AACSB accreditation and other quality frameworks, fostering a culture of research excellence, increasing external research income, publications, and postgraduate enrollments, and establishing international partnerships to support education, research, and student opportunities.Additionally, the position requires serving as a visible ambassador for our client across various sectors, including industry, government, community, iwi, and professional networks. The successful candidate will also be responsible for strengthening research, education, and engagement partnerships with iwi and hapu, in alignment with the University's commitments under Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Overall, the role involves driving our client's overall success and impact through strategic leadership, collaboration, and relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders.
