the client is seeking a visionary academic leader to serve as Dean for the School of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics, part of the College of Engineering. The dean will provide overall leadership to ensure the school’s smooth operation and sustainable development, supporting the client’s mission of advancing innovation in research and teaching and cultivating outstanding talent.
The dean will lead school affairs across teaching, research, and administration; develop strategic plans aligned with the client’s goals; and recruit and support top-tier faculty while fostering an environment that promotes both curiosity-driven and collaborative research. The role also includes establishing and evolving majors and curricula to ensure high-quality teaching and holistic student development, aligned with national and regional needs and educational outcomes.
In addition, the dean will build an international network of partnerships to strengthen collaboration in education, research, and knowledge transfer, enhancing the school’s global engagement. The position will further involve developing industry–academic partnerships consistent with national and regional priorities, and implementing mechanisms to secure donations and sponsorships to support long-term development.
