The client is seeking a Dean for the School of Health Sciences to provide creative, visionary leadership that enhances and elevates academic programs and advances the school’s mission of educating students for challenging and meaningful health careers. The Dean will report to the Provost and will leverage existing strengths while shaping a forward-looking vision and developing a corresponding plan to help the school continue building momentum as a leader in health sciences education.
The Dean is expected to provide strategic direction that inspires faculty and staff to collaborate in building outstanding academic programs. The role requires strong management capabilities and the ability to partner effectively with a broad range of internal and external constituents, supported by persuasive communication and highly effective interpersonal skills. Candidates will also be expected to bring a deep record of teaching and scholarly research.
Candidates must have an earned doctorate and be eligible for a faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor in the School of Health Sciences. Prior experience in the administration of both clinical and non-clinical programs is expected, aligning leadership responsibilities with the school’s educational and healthcare-focused scope.
