The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or a related field, with a terminal degree and a record of scholarly achievement. They will possess a deep understanding of the current trends and challenges in engineering education, as well as a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment. The dean will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for the SEAS, including overseeing curriculum development, faculty recruitment and development, and student engagement initiatives.Additionally, the dean will work closely with faculty, staff, students, and external partners to enhance the reputation and visibility of the SEAS both locally and nationally. They will be expected to cultivate relationships with industry partners, alumni, and donors to support the school's mission and strategic priorities. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a track record of effective leadership and collaboration within a higher education setting.
