the client seeks nominations and applications for the Dean of the College of Business. the dean will provide dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive leadership to develop industry-responsive, in-demand academic programs and enhance the college’s visibility and partnerships with external stakeholders. the role serves as the chief executive and academic officer for the college, supporting student success, academic excellence, and strong relationships with alumni and the broader community.
Reporting directly to the provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, the dean is responsible for strategic planning; curricular leadership across undergraduate and graduate levels; program growth and development; hiring; fiscal management; outcomes assessment; and accreditation-related work. the dean will also lead faculty and staff advocacy and development, strengthen community relationships, and support advancement and fundraising efforts while reinforcing the client’s core values.
Minimum qualifications include an earned terminal degree from an accredited institution in a discipline related to the college, along with administrative experience at the department chair level or above, university-level full-time teaching experience, and experience managing personnel resources and budgets. additional required experience includes academic program evaluation and assessment of student learning outcomes. preferred qualifications include successful associate dean or dean-level experience, relevant direct industry experience aligned with the college’s subject areas, a record of teaching and scholarly achievements consistent with tenure eligibility, demonstrated implementation of innovative programs (including online and blended education), experience assisting with curriculum development and revision, familiarity with accreditation processes, and a track record of initiatives that support enrollment, retention, and access and student success.
